"In my fourth year working for SOURCE Care Management (SCM) and my fourteenth year of a rewarding career in long term care, it has been my experience that our organization operates with goals of excellence and also provides opportunities for growth and development within the organization. While with SOURCE Care Management I have experienced this opportunity for growth first hand. I began with SCM as a case manager. As a case manager I was able to invest in the lives of those less fortunate than myself as well as being able to play a part in improving their overall quality of life and health outcomes. I have seen elderly and disabled people empowered to stay at home and maintain their independence as a result of the SOURCE Program. I’ve seen how SCM changes the lives not only of our members, but the lives of their loved ones as well. For instance, I have had caregivers, who were at serious health risks themselves, able to begin taking care of themselves because their loved one’s case manager was now coordinating the care of their loved one. As Team Leader I was able to continue case management while also being provided with the opportunity to practice servant leadership by helping my fellow case managers do their jobs to the best of their abilities while encouraging them to work as a team. Currently as the Director of Community Education and Outreach, I have the privilege of educating the communities we serve with the goal that any person who qualifies for and needs the SOURCE Program, is able to benefit from the program by being met at their point of need. SOURCE Care Management is an organization that provides opportunities for the person that has a passion for people and a desire to work for a team that strives to be excellent in all areas."
